I just noticed, this blog has been active for 33 days, over a month now (last three weeks — excluding two days — of September, first two of October — excluding tomorrow)! It has received almost 850 hits and about 700 (possibly even more) unique, first time visitors! (The StatCounter code was acting funky for a few days, so I am having to estimate some.) I expect 700 (there have been approximately that amount over the past 33 days) or more unique (i.e. different) visitors every month (the blog started mid-September and it is now mid-October, so I don't have a full month's data yet). So far this month, In Perspective has gotten (including part of today's estimate and tomorrow's projection) 300 or so different readers. That means — if nominal growth is estimated — there should be about 750 (hopefully more) visitors in the month of October. An average of 22 first-timers have been on this blog every day (50 some today alone!) — usually from three or so different countries (I have received many hits from North America and Europe, as well as a great deal from Asia and some from every other continent). All this data includes hits from Digg, search engines such as Google (approx. 50 Google/Google Blog Search hits), Technorati and other blog/tagging services, other linking sites, and non-referral visits.
Some slumps in visits occurred when the tracking code was acting buggy. In addition, some recurring visits are from the Yahoo! search robot which, for some reason, visits too often (usually every day).
Thanks to all the readers! Please tell your friends/family/coworkers about this blog too!
