It is almost over, closure is eminent...

Allen should admit defeat
AP has been reporting (yesterday) that the Dems have won Virginia and thus the Senate and the entire Congress (I want to wait a bit more, make sure it all wraps up). But, since mid-day yesterday, is was pretty much certain that the Democrats has won, with Webb (D) beating Allen (R) by 7,000 or so votes in the close Virginia Senate race in this US midterm election.

Obviously I wish my party had won," Hastert said in a statement that added he intends to return to the "full-time task" of representing his Illinois constituents.
Does that mean Speaker (soon to be ex-Speaker) of the House Rep. Dennis Hastert has not been representing his Illinois constituents these past years? Is that not his job description, to represent his constituents? If it is a 'full-time task', then he just admited that he has not been doing his entire job as a representative, of course most already knew that by the way he goes about doing his job...
